A tiled shower room, wall to floor

Almost everything that goes wrong in a shower room is decided before any tiling starts. Whether the wet area was tanked. Whether the floor falls to the gully or towards the door. Whether the substrate flexes. Whether there is ventilation that actually moves air out of the building.

Then comes the setting out. Full tiles at eye level and at the outside corners, cuts balanced rather than dumped down one side, floor grout lines lining through with the wall. None of that costs more in materials; it costs an hour with a laser and a pencil before anyone opens a bag of adhesive.
