Working with you to reach ideas you'd not have got to on your own
The difference between a renovation that works and one that merely got finished is usually made in a handful of early decisions — where a wall goes, how big an opening is, which way a door swings, what the light does at four o'clock in November. Those are design decisions and they're cheapest to change on paper.
So we get involved before the quote is signed: layouts, specification, materials and finishes, and the honest conversation about what a choice costs. Then, at the other end of the job, our own decorators carry it out — because a beautiful specification can still be ruined by two coats over bad preparation.
Layouts and specification
Room layouts talked through in the actual rooms, sightlines and circulation considered, and a specification — finishes, ironmongery, sanitaryware, tiles, floors — built up with you so there are no blank decisions left to make in a panic mid-build.
Preparation, then paint
Filling, sanding, caulking, sealing new plaster with a proper mist coat, and masking done properly. Most of decorating is the part before the top coat, and it's the part that decides how the top coat looks.
Finishes
Emulsion, eggshell and satinwood to walls, ceilings, woodwork and metalwork; wallpaper hung to papered-and-lined walls; feature finishes where a room can take one. Colours signed off on site, in the room's own light.
